Cover Picture: Santorini is a beautiful island with breathtaking views in the southern Cyclades in the Aegean Sea. A unique, crescent shaped island was formed by an ancient volcanic eruption that was said to have taken place in 1650 BC. This is where developmental neurobiologists came in May 2005 to discuss recent progress in cortical development. The photograph shows part of the small town of Ia on the island. Photo by J. Parnavelas.
