The cover image shows the cortical thickness difference map between probable Alzheimer's disease patients and age matched controls computed from the magnetic resonance images of 36 subjects (19 patients, 17 controls). The greatest thickness loss, exceeding 1.3 mm, can be found in the bilateral parahippocampal gyri, the putative origin of the pathological changes in Alzheimer's disease.
