About the Cover

Cover Figure

Intrinsic optical imaging of retinotopic organization of parietal area 7a, the prelunate gyrus, and early visual areas (V1 and V2) in the macaque monkey. Anatomical MRIs in the two top panels show a posterior view of the left and right hemisphere of two monkeys. The visual stimuli for the retinotopic imaging Jconsisted of expanding optic flow presented in various locations of the visual field, as illustrated schematically in the center panel. The two bottom panels consist of magnified sections of the anatomical MRIs with the optical retinotopic maps (color coded angle maps) overlaid. See Heider, Jando, and Siegel, pp. 460-478.
