On 21 April 2002, the Cajal Club presented the Cortical Discoverer Awards to Drs Thomas A. Woolsey and David Van Essen, the Cortical Explorer Awards to Drs László Acsády and Gábor Tamás, and the Cortical Scholar Award to Dr Michelle M. AdamsGo. The site of this year’s Cajal Club meeting was New Orleans, Louisiana. The Krieg Cortical Kudos Awards Committee consisted of Charles E. Ribak (President), Peter Ralston (Secretary/Treasurer), Tamás Freund, Enrico Mugnaini, Pasko Rakic and Leslie Ungerleider.
