Human Brain Regions Involved in Recognizing Environmental Sounds
Cereb. Cortex Lewis et al. 14: 1008

Data Supplement

Included on this web page are several examples of the pairs of environmental sound stimuli (backward- versus forward-played) heard by our subjects. By clicking on the icons, first listen to a backward-played sound (...B.wav file) to determine if you can 'recognize' or 'identify' what the sound is. Then listen to the corresponding forward-played version of the sound (...F.wav file), which should be fairly easy to recognize. A link to the list indicating the correct identity of each sound-source pair is available at the top of the page.
